Philip Papadopoulos announced on May 11 the immediate availability for download of Rocks Cluster 6.2, a specialist Linux kernel-based operating system derived from the well-known CentOS distribution, which in turn is based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Dubbed Sidewinder, Rocks Cluster 6.2 is now based on the CentOS 6.6 operating system, and it includes all the upstream package updates as on May 10, 2015. It is available for download as an installable-only ISO image that runs only on 64-bit capable computers.
