Immediately after announcing Linux kernel 4.0.4, Greg Kroah-Hartman published details about Linux kernel 3.10.79, an LTS (Long Term Support) release that will be updated for a few more years.

According to the attached shortlog, Linux Kernel 3.10.79 LTS is a small release that fixes a few issues with the ARM architectures, repairs bugs in the NILFS2 and OCFS2 filesystems, addresses a problem with the OSS sound server, and updates several drivers, especially for GPIO, APCI, MMC, PINCTRL, and Intel i915.
